What is Svara?
Svara, also called svarka, is a Bulgarian card game for 2 to 9 players. It is played with a 32-card deck, from seven to ace, and everyone gets three cards. The goal is simple: score more points than the others, or make them fold with a good bluff.
People call it "neighbourhood poker" because you learn it in five minutes and the rounds are fast and tense. Cards of the same suit and cards of the same rank add up, three sevens beat everything, and a tie triggers a svarka: a new deal for the same pot.
In other countries the game is known as seka, trynka or svarka. It resembles the casino game Three Card Poker, but you play against people, not against a dealer.

Ante
Before the deal, everyone puts a fixed entry into the pot. So there is always something to play for.
The deal
The dealer gives everyone three cards, one at a time, face down. The player on the left deals the next round.
Blind bet
Optionally, the first player left of the dealer bets without looking. The next players can double, triple or quadruple it.
Betting
Once they have seen their cards, players bet, raise or fold. The dealer acts last.
Showdown
If two or more players remain, the cards are turned over. The highest-scoring hand takes the pot.
Svarka
On a tie the pot stays on the table and the tied players play again. Others can join by paying an entry.

What is Svara?

Is VIP Svara free?
Yes. The game is free. New players get starting chips and there is a free bonus every day. Extra chips and VIP status can be bought if you want them. Chips are virtual and cannot be cashed out.

How many points are the cards worth in Svara?
An ace is worth 11 points; ten, jack, queen and king are worth 10; a nine 9, an eight 8 and a seven 7. The seven of clubs (Yonchev) is a joker worth 11. Three sevens make 34 points and beat everything.
What is a "svarka"?
A svarka is a tie: two or more players share the highest score. The pot stays on the table and the tied players play a new deal. Others can join by paying an entry equal to the pot divided by the number of tied players.
How do I sign in?
With Facebook, with Google, with an email account or as a guest. Guests get starting chips, but their progress is not saved and they do not appear on the leaderboards.
Can I play Svara with friends?
Yes. Invite friends from Facebook or with a link and challenge them at a table. With VIP status you can create your own table with your own rules and up to 9 seats.
What are chips?
Chips are the game's virtual currency and are used for bets at the tables. You earn them by playing, from the daily bonus and by inviting friends, or buy them in the shop. They have no cash value.
